![]() Jason Brown is a filmmaker and musician. Principal photography for his new feature film, “Falcon Song”, will commence in 2012. His last film, "Nightfur", was quickly picked up for distribution and is available at major physical and digital retailers nationwide. His production company, Corgan Pictures, is currently developing several projects to be released in the years to come. Since 1999 he has stengthened his knowledge of the medium by working for top filmmakers and studios. Some his favorite experiences are within the years spent working and learning in various capacities on ImageMovers projects. He has been involved with cutting edge performance capture films such as “Monster House”, “Beowulf”, and “Christmas Carol”. Recently, he worked on Disney's "Tron: Legacy" and Marvel's"Captain America". Over his career, he has also been a part of teams assembled for "Spanglish", "Rush Hour 3", "What Lies Beneath", "SpongeBob SquarePants Movie", and more. Prior to the transition to narrative feature films, he worked on numerous MTV networks projects including "Jackass: The Movie", "Andy Dick", and "Secret Movie Rules" in positions from Coordinator to Producer.
His passion for imaginative films comes to life in his writing of feature length screenplays "Grayland Manor", "Jack & Skylar", and "Nightfur". He directed "The Goddess Of Time", a surreal fantasy film, as well as "Nomad" which features Les Claypool of Primus. From 2003 - 2006 he was CEO of Driveway Pictures, a production company that produced several music videos and commercials.
Jason is an active musician and member of ASCAP. He is currently writing and recording a third full length album with his band, named after the film, Nightfur. Their debut album, "She Lives", received accolades from the LA Times and other music publications and was listed on several "Best Local Album" lists. The band's single, "Judy" is enjoying airplay on KCRW 89.9FM, Indie 103.1FM, and KXLU 88.9FM. In 2004, he played with "Lightning Swords Of Death", whose music was licensed to MTV for use in their popular shows "Viva La Bam" and "Wildboyz".
